The Société générale de financement du Québec engaged Stendel + Reich initially for a due diligence review of a design-build proposal for the construction of a 25,000 sf duck slaughter house and meat processing facility expansion. This first phase was to review construction documents for conformity with Canada Food Inspection Agency guidelines and the contractors bid for completeness and quality issues. S+R was then mandated to perform the role of Owner’s Representative, acting on behalf of the SGF and Périgord to review construction quality, develop and manage the construction budget, review and administer contract changes, regulatory approval coordination and project closeout.
