210,000 sq.ft. food production facility specializing in the processing of red meat, poultry and sausages, employing modified atmosphere packaging “ MAP” of “case ready” products for direct distribution to supermarkets. The facility which is certified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), incorporates aa QA/QC microbiology laboratory, as well as a state of the art automated wash and drying system for the returnable polypropylene totes used to deliver the finished product. The large emphasis made from the design phase to eliminate cross contamination of the meat through rigorous process layout and supported with food grade construction details greatly facilitated implementing and administering the Food Safety Enhancement Program (FSEP).
